Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026. Please read these terms carefully before using the French Press Custom website or placing an order.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the French Press Custom website (frenchpresscustom.com) or purchasing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Services
French Press Custom provides custom apparel decoration services including screen printing, direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, DTF transfers, embroidery, and heat transfer vinyl. We also offer managed online store services for schools, bands, teams, and businesses.
All services are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.
3. Quotes & Pricing
All quotes provided by French Press Custom are estimates and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Final pricing may vary based on:
- Artwork complexity and number of print colors
- Garment selection and availability
- Quantity changes from the original quote
- Rush production requirements
- Special finishing or packaging requests
Prices are quoted in US dollars and do not include applicable sales tax (currently 9.5% in California) unless specified. Shipping costs are additional unless included in the quote.
4. Orders & Payment
Orders are confirmed once a signed proof approval and required deposit are received. Standard payment terms:
- Deposits: A 50% deposit is required on all new customer orders. Repeat customers may qualify for net terms.
- Balance due: Remaining balance is due upon completion, before shipment or pickup.
- Payment methods: We accept credit cards, ACH transfers, checks, and cash.
- Late payments: Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may incur a 1.5% monthly finance charge.
5. Artwork & Intellectual Property
You represent that you own or have the right to use all artwork, logos, and designs submitted to us. French Press Custom is not responsible for verifying copyright or trademark ownership of submitted artwork.
You agree to indemnify and hold French Press Custom harmless from any claims arising from the use of artwork you provide.
Artwork created by French Press Custom (including vectorization, separation, and digitizing) remains our property until the associated order is paid in full. We retain the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.
6. Proof Approval
A digital proof will be provided for your approval before production begins. By approving a proof, you confirm that:
- All text, spelling, and design elements are correct
- Colors, placement, and sizing are acceptable
- The order details (quantity, sizes, garments) are accurate
French Press Custom is not responsible for errors in approved proofs. Changes requested after proof approval may result in additional charges and production delays.
7. Production & Delivery
Production turnaround depends on order size, decoration method, and our current production schedule - most orders run on a 1-3 week timeline from proof approval and deposit receipt. Rush production may be available for an additional fee, quoted per project.
While we make every effort to meet quoted deadlines, production timelines are estimates and not guarantees. Delays may occur due to garment availability, artwork revisions, or production volume. We will communicate any significant delays promptly.
Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier or upon pickup from our facility.
8. Quantity Tolerance
Due to the nature of custom manufacturing, final delivered quantities may vary by +/- 5% from the ordered amount. You will be billed for the actual quantity produced. This is standard industry practice for custom decorated apparel.
9. Returns & Reprints
Because all products are custom-made to order, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for completed orders that match the approved proof.
If there is a defect in production quality or an error on our part (wrong color, wrong placement, wrong garment), we will reprint the affected items at no charge. You must notify us of any issues within 7 business days of delivery.
We are not responsible for:
- Errors present in the approved proof
- Color variations between screen displays and printed output
- Normal wear and fading over time
- Garment fit or sizing (refer to manufacturer size charts)
10. Online Stores
For managed online store services, additional terms apply:
- Store setup fees are non-refundable once design work has begun
- Monthly management fees are billed on the 1st of each month
- Store content and product listings are managed per the agreed service tier
- We reserve the right to pause or close stores with 30 days notice for non-payment
- End customers of your store are subject to these same production and quality terms
11. Cancellation
Orders may be cancelled before production begins with a full refund of any deposit paid. Once production has started, cancellation fees apply:
- Blanks ordered: Cost of garments is non-refundable
- Screens or digitizing completed: Setup fees are non-refundable
- Production in progress: Full order amount is due
12. Limitation of Liability
French Press Custom's total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or business interruption.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
