Getting the logo ready for embroidery

Embroidery reproduces a logo in thread, so the artwork is converted into a stitch file before anything is sewn. That conversion is the digitizing fee ($45.00, once per design). Vector artwork (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) gives the cleanest result. A hat front is small, so very thin lines and small text may need to be simplified or enlarged to stitch cleanly; we flag that on the proof.

What moves the price

Three things set the embroidery price per hat: quantity, stitch count and the number of locations. The price drops as quantity rises, up to 5,000 stitches is included in the base rate, and a second location such as a side or back logo is priced as its own placement. The hat itself is priced from the live wholesale catalog at our standard markup.

We keep your artwork and stitch files on file, so reorders are quick, and a screen-print reorder of the same design carries no setup. For hats that means the second order of the same logo has no digitizing charge.
