A 50/50 blend dries faster, wrinkles less and keeps its shape through repeated washing better than 100% cotton, which is why blends dominate sports, camps and athletic events. The 5170 is pre-shrunk, so the size on the label stays the size in the drawer.
The quarter-turned body means no center crease down the front, so a full front print lands on a flat, even surface.
Decoration
Which Decoration Method Works Best on the Hanes 5170?
Screen printing
The right method. Plastisol on a 50/50 blend prints bright and durable, and blends take bold team and event graphics very well.
DTG
Possible, but DTG inks bond to cotton, so on a 50/50 blend full-color prints come out softer and less saturated than on a 100% cotton tee. For DTG, a cotton blank like the Bella+Canvas 3001 is the better pick.
Watch out for
Polyester content means discharge and water-based-only looks are off the table. If you want a vintage soft print, choose a 100% cotton blank instead.

Screen setup is built into the per-piece price: one screen per ink color, plus one more for the white underbase on dark garments, spread across your run, so there is no separate setup line. More colors mean more screens, which is why color count moves the per-piece price and why the same design prices lower on a bigger run. Runs of 24 pieces or fewer also carry film and press setup, included the same way. We keep your artwork on file, so reorders are quick, and a repeat of the same design carries no setup, so it prices lower per piece.
Range shown is a 1-color to 3-color print, one location, with the screens already included. Each additional location is priced separately.
